Your University account (formerly Network ID)
Your University account is your electronic identity at Indiana University, consisting of both an IU username and an IU passphrase. A University account is created when you create your first computing account.
You will use the username and passphrase of this account to log into almost all technology services at IU, including:
- Services to manage your University account's passphrase and security
- Your IU email
- Online applications and systems, such as One.IU or IUanyWare
- Computers in IU Student Technology Centers (STCs)
Note:
While Affiliate accounts and Group accounts are types of University accounts, Guest accounts and Conference accounts are not; they provide limited, often temporary, access to IU resources.
