At IU, why am I having trouble connecting to my Exchange account via IMAP?

At Indiana University, you may have trouble connecting to your Exchange account if you're using IMAP. Connections to Exchange may time out, and you won't be able to access your account.

The problem is only for IMAP connections to a particular Exchange server, though it affects all IMAP email clients, including Outlook, Outlook Express, Thunderbird, and Mac OS X Mail. UITS administrators and Microsoft are addressing this issue.

If you have trouble connecting to your Exchange account using IMAP, contact your campus Support Center.
