In Internet Explorer 7 and higher, how can I enable the classic menu bar?

To enable classic menus (e.g., File, Edit, View):

  • In Internet Explorer 9, press Alt to make the menu bar appear. Click the View menu. Hover over Toolbars, and then click Menu Bar.
  • In Internet Explorer 8, click Tools, then Toolbar, and then Menu Bar.
  • In Internet Explorer 7, click Tools, and then Menu Bar.

Unlike previous versions, Internet Explorer 7 and above will display menus underneath the address bar and standard browsing buttons.
