Can I use Symantec AntiVirus or Ghost with Windows Vista?

Symantec AntiVirus CE 10.1.5 does not work with Windows Vista Enterprise. However, the latest versions are compatible with Windows Vista, and are available to Indiana University students, faculty, and staff via IUware.

If you use sysprep on your images, you can use Symantec
Ghost Solution Suite version 1.1 to ghost your images in Windows Vista
as you would in Windows XP.
If you don't use sysprep, you will need to run these
three commands before ghosting to modify the boot image:
When the image is deployed, the system should boot correctly. If you
fail to do this beforehand, you can boot from a Windows PE CD, go to
the Vista windows\system32 directory, and run the
commands from there.
The Ghost 1.1 client does not function on Vista. However, Ghost Solution Suite 2.0 supports Vista, and is available to LSPs at:
