At IU, why can I no longer print to campus printers?
On May 15, 2006, UITS disabled the insecure LM (LAN Manager) and NT LAN Manager Version 1 (NTLMv1) authentication protocols at Indiana University. As a result, you may not be able to print to campus printers. To resolve your printing problems, you may need to download and run the IU Windows Authentication Update tool available from IUware. For more information, see What is the tool that disables LM/NTLMv1, and where can I get it?
For more information about the retirement of these authentication protocols, see LM, NTLM, and NTLMv2 on the IU network.
