What was IUVault?
IUVault was a web-based secure file storage and distribution service available to Indiana University staff working with student-specific or institutional data. All documents uploaded to IUVault were encrypted, and could be retrieved only by someone who knew the secret word with which they were encrypted.
IUVault was based on and eventually replaced by Slashtmp, a web-based file storage and distribution service available to IU researchers. See At IU, what is Slashtmp, and how do I use it? Use the Critical version of Slashtmp for student grades, University ID numbers, or any other potentially sensitive information.
IUVault was retired in early 2011. Files that were uploaded to IUVault are no longer available, and previously generated file links no longer work.
