In Mozilla Thunderbird, how do I create a signature?

To create a signature in Mozilla Thunderbird:

  1. Create a text file with your signature (using TextEdit or WordPad, for example) and store it on your hard drive.

  2. In Thunderbird, click Tools, and then Account Settings... .

  3. In the list on the left, select the name of the account for which you want to create a signature.

  4. Check Attach this signature: , and then click Choose... .

  5. Locate and select the text file that contains your signature, click Open, and then click OK.

Whenever you send mail from the account for which you have established these settings, the signature you created will appear at the bottom of your message.
