For Mac OS X, what software can I use to access my IU Exchange account?
At Indiana University, there are several ways to connect to your Exchange account in Mac OS X.
-
Entourage: You can connect to Exchange at IU with
Microsoft Entourage 2008 and 2004. Both versions let you set
folder permissions to mailbox items, open delegated or shared
mailboxes, and access the Global Address List and
Public Folders. See At IU, in Mac OS X, how do I configure Entourage 2004 or 2008 to access my Exchange account?
-
Outlook Web Access: You can use Outlook Web
Access (OWA) to read your email, access your calendar, and maintain
your contacts in a web browser. For more information, see
What is Outlook Web Access (OWA)?
-
IMAP clients: You can use an IMAP
client to access your Exchange mail, although you will lose the
advanced functionality available in Entourage. For information about
specific programs, see the Mac OS X column in Reading your Exchange mail using a desktop email client.
-
LDAP clients: You can use LDAP to
access the Exchange Global Address List. For information about
specific programs, see:
