In LISTSERV, what is the OK mechanism?

Many operations on LISTSERV mailing lists require the use of the OK mechanism, also known as the two-way OK confirmation. It works as follows:

  1. When you perform an action on a LISTSERV list that requires confirmation, LISTSERV will send you a message asking for confirmation.

  2. To make the request take effect, use the link provided in the message, or reply to the confirmation message. The body (not the subject) of your reply should be the following: ok
