At IUB, how can I get my web page linked from the university web site?

Indiana University Bloomington organizations, faculty, and departments may ask to have their web pages linked from the university web site by contacting the IUB Web Team at  iubhome@indiana.edu . Supply the URL of your page, a brief description of the site, and suggestions regarding where you think the link should be displayed. The Web Team will link your page as you suggest within the guidelines of the current web structure and design.

You can also visit the Request A Link form, which includes more information on what sites can be linked and suggestions on where your sites should be linked from the official university web site.

If you are not creating home pages for departments, organizations, or professors, but are affiliated with IU, you may use Mypage for the purpose of creating personal home pages on the web. Web pages properly set up on Mypage are automatically displayed in IU's Directory of Personal Home Pages and indexed by the IU Search Engine. For your home page to be indexed, you need a file called home.html in the www directory of your Mercury account, and file permissions must be set correctly so that the files are viewable. For details about creating your personal home page, see At IU, what is Mypage, and how can I publish a web page there?
