In Elm, how do I change my default editor?

Note: Elm is not available on any UITS systems.

To change the default editor in Elm, follow the steps below:

  1. In Elm, type  o  to get to the Options menu.

  2. Use the E)ditor (primary) and V)isual editors options to choose your preferred editor, for example /usr/local/bin/pico , or /usr/local/bin/emacs , or /usr/ucb/vi .

  3. Press  >  to save the changes.

  4. To verify that your changes were made, exit and re-enter Elm.
